Are you having trouble growing your search traffic and getting the exposure you deserve? It really is easier than you think and I know that each and every one of you can achieve the same results if you use the exact same system we used in this case study.
In this particular case study, we will be covering the results we achieve for Enclave Hosting. They are a cybersecurity company based out of Venice, Florida that helps keep your business data secure.
Almost every business owner I speak with thinks that as long as their website is pretty, their website traffic should organically increase. But that is simply not the case. There are currently over 2 billion websites on the internet and if you think that you can compete with these sites just by looking pretty, you’ve got a rude awakening ahead of you.
Along with all the energy it takes to provide your value proposition (your service/product), you MUST spend an equal amount of online outreach in order to drive website traffic and convert those prospects into sales.
If you just read that line and thought “well looks like I’m out of luck because I have no more time to spare” then don’t stress because I’m going to show you some simple tricks to making this easier than it sounds.
If you take a step back and look at this system as a whole, it really was quite simple. We built them a new site, helped them find free content to promote, and sent out 1 singular email blast.
Pretty simple right? With the right guidance, this system can implemented at any type of company.
In this guide I’m going to break down the three steps I took to grow Enclave Hosting’s search traffic by 288%.
Step 1: Build the proper backbone
Step one is all about making sure that you’ve got a central hub where all your customers can engage with your company and CONVIENTALY purchase your services.
Now I know what you’re thinking… “I thought you just said it wasn’t about having a pretty website?”
Don’t get me wrong, that’s not the ONLY factor that goes into increasing website traffic and search rankings but it does play a crucial role. Once you start doing outreach, you need to have a professional platform to send people through if you hope to turn this new traffic into sales. Otherwise, if you’re all these new potential customers to an outdated, unprofessional website then chances are you’ll lose them before you even get the chance to show them what you’re capable of.
Step 2: Build your outreach system
This can include a wide array of digital marketing strategies but for the purpose of this article, we will focus on our most basic outreach system since this what we used for Enclave Hosting. This particular outreach system consists of a professional sales platform, email marketing system and blog. Keep in mind this is just the SIMPLEST & SMALLEST system we recommend.
When we first redesigned their website, we made it very clear to them that in order to make the most of their new site, they MUST include the proper backbones to encourage traffic in the future. This meant including a blog on their new site where they could post content that is important to their niche audience; as well as an email marketing system to push these blogs out to prospective customers. By building this system, Enclave Hosting not only had the tools to engage prospects but also the content and platform to engage them further.
When it comes to actual content, it sounds so simple but you have to give the people what they want. This is where your “freebie” comes in. I mean who can deny free content? This can be free tutorial videos, informative articles (like this one), free trials, etc. but it must be something they are truly interested in. Keep in mind, the content of these “freebies” has to be relevant to your specific client base otherwise it may not convert them.
Step 3: Automate the process
The whole purpose of building this system is to make sure that each different component works together seamlessly and automatically. Like I mentioned earlier, this stuff can take up a decent chunk of time and energy if you’re not careful so in order to avoid wasting time you must be using the proper software.
In this case, we used WordPress to post the blogs as well as MailChimp to push these new blogs out to potential customers. There are a huge variety of platforms that can make automate these actions but I find these two to be the most sophisticated and user-friendly.
Once the system was in place, all I had to do was click a couple buttons to post the blog on WordPress and then do the same with MailChimp. This allowed me to send their latest blog post to over 350+ people with the touch of a button.
By taking our advice and implementing this new outreach system, we were able to increase Enclave Hosting’s website traffic by 288% their first month with us. Now to be fair, they have been an established company for the last decade or so but by adding just a couple steps to their outreach system, they were able to transform the amount of traffic to their website overnight.
It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3…
- Create a central hub to send prospects (in this case, their website)
- Create some free content that genuinely benefits their customer base (the “freebie”)
- Use automated tools to send the freebie out to their followers
Although I like to always tell business owners that “more is better”, you can see how a little effort can go a long way. If we were able to achieve these results with our simplest outreach recommendation, imagine what you can achieve by sending out a freebie every single week
